Sunny, a nine year old boy and Bunny, his three year old sister, are two hyper active children who you would think were adorable if they were yours and unbearable if they were your neighbor’s.
Arvind and Anita are the unfortunate, but not unhappy parents. Arvind is a laid back father who believes in giving children freedom. Freedom to have fun, to learn and to flourish in their own way.the kind of freedom he never got from his father, Major Prasad.
Major Prasad, being an ex-army person, believes that military service is the only proper calling for a man. And is of the firm conviction that music, Aravind's passion, is for wimps and wastrels. He forces his son out of music classes and packs him off to Military College at gun-point. Aravind promptly runs off from college and out of his father's life.
Anita has a mother, Rajeswari, who is widowed, wealthy and willful. When Anitha decides to marry Aravind, a penniless college drop-out with nothing more than a dream in his eyes and a song on his lips, Rajeswari puts her foot down and threatens to disinherit Anitha. Undeterred, Anitha packs her bags and leaves, never to see her mother again. In a fit of rage, Rajeswari wills all her property to her brother Giri.
Thus, by the time the story begins, Anita and Arvind are estranged from their respective parents. Arvind is a successful jingle composer and is on the verge of branching out into stage shows. Sunny and Bunny, their live-wire kids, see to it that the household has never a dull moment.
On this happy family falls a shadow. Six hundred kilometers away, Anita's mother has a heart attack and a change of heart. Yearning for Anitha, she decides to make her the beneficiary of her property again. She entrusts the job of tracing Anitha to the villain himself, her brother Giri. He and his son Sudhakar, dismayed at this change in their fortunes, plan to trace out Anitha and her family and quietly kill them off before the will is actually signed. They hatch ingenious plots to make the planned murders appear like accidents so that the needle of suspicion does not point to them. They hire Masthan, a reticent gentleman who has a strange way of making a living.By killing people for a fair consideration. Unaware of the danger trailing them, Arvind, Anita and the kids go on a tour giving musical shows. On one of the highways, Arvind and Anita are killed in a stage-managed road accident. The kids escape. But are all alone in the once happy house. And they don't know that someone is hunting them.
How these two children overcome the trauma of their parents' death and evolve into brave little soldiers who turn the tables on the evil hunting them and win the hearts of their estranged grand-parents forms remainder of this stirring tale.
